Bathing

Treat your pet to a luxurious Hydro-Surge "spa" treatment. Many dogs love this whirlpool/massaging bath! Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching. Services also include ear cleaning.

Boarding

Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care (such as brushing and cuddling), and supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active. Cats stay in our "kitty condos"- a sunroom where they can lounge in the sun and watch all the "goings on" outside on B Street. Our boarding services are limited to our existing clients and must have current exams and vaccines. Please call our office for more information or to book your dates. Download a boarding release form here.

Dental Care

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth, and also your pet's general health. First we take full mouth radiographs of your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface which is more resistant to plaque and tartar buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.

Euthanasia Services

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. We also use heartworm prevention and flea control as part of your animals good health.
Federal law requires that we must examine your pet prior to prescribing or dispensing most medications. An annual exam and/or blood tests or other procedures may be required to fill your pet's prescription. Your understanding in this matter is appreciated. For faster service it is recommended you call at least 24 hours in advance for prescription refills.

There are many vaccines are available for use in dogs and cats, but not every pet needs every available vaccine. Some vaccines are considered core vaccines and should be administered to all pets, whereas other vaccines are optional and may be recommended for pets based on a variety of factors, such as their risk for exposure to disease. Vaccine recommendations can also change throughout a pet’s life, as travel habits and other variables change. We will consider all these factors as we determine which vaccines your pet should have.
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. Our belief is that the quality of your pet's life is of the utmost importance, and we strive to make sure that medical treatments are worthwhile for both pets and their owners. When modern medical treatments fail to alleviate your pet's discomfort, we offer euthanasia services at the hospital. We also provide a variety of body-care options for your beloved pet, including burial and cremation.

Microchipping

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We recommend and offer implantation of the Home Again microchip to increase the chances of a safe recovery, or to prevent theft of your pet. Local animal control agencies and most veterinary hospitals scan lost & recovered pets for these chips. A microchip is the only form of identification that cannot be lost, stolen, or altered.

Parasite Prevention

Veterinary examinations and parasite testing are important ways to protect your pet’s health. Let our knowledgeable staff provide you with a comprehensive parasite control program. We can recommend a schedule for parasite testing, discuss what signs of parasites you can look for at home, review ways to control parasites in and around your home, discuss treatment options if your pet has parasites, and recommend ways to control and prevent parasites in the future.

Puppy and Kitten Wellness

Puppy and kitten wellness visits also present an opportunity to discuss your new pet’s recommended vaccine schedule and the best plan for parasite testing, treatment, and prevention. Our doctors and other staff members are well-educated about veterinary vaccines and parasite control, and our goal is to give you the best advice for your puppy or kitten. We will review your pet’s vaccine and deworming schedule and discuss the best way to continue, so don’t forget to bring any records that you have received.

Radiology

Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. All of our radiographs are reviewed by a board-certified radiologist. We also have Dental radiography which gives excellent insight into your pets' dental health.

Ultrasound

Ultrasonography is a type of diagnostic technique that uses ultrasound waves to produce an imaging study. This means that when we perform ultrasonography, we can see internal images of the patient’s body. Unlike some other imaging studies, like x-rays, ultrasonography does not use radiation. Instead, ultrasonography uses high-frequency sound (ultrasound) waves to create a picture of what is inside your pet’s body. Ultrasonography is a completely non-invasive, painless way to diagnose and evaluate many common diseases.

Senior Care

The best way to help protect your pet as he or she ages is to understand the aging process in pets. We understand that process and can help you help your pet. Even if your senior pet is already being treated for a medical condition, treatment recommendations can change as a condition progresses.  Routine wellness blood work and other routine diagnostic testing are important for senior pets because these tests allow us to evaluate how your pet’s health is either responding to current management strategies or changing with age.

Surgery

We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. Surgical services and facilities include fully trained veterinary and technical staff to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG, oxygen saturation monitors and blood-pressure monitoring; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing. We practice aggressive pain management, in order to ensure that our patients experience as little post-operative discomfort as possible.
